What's new

Everything we changed, newest first.

A new look

  • Control Total has a new look: every screen, window and button now follows one design, and the X in the corner of a window does the same as its Cancel button.
  • Lists now show every value whole, on a phone too, instead of cutting it short, and the PDF actions of a document read as buttons.
  • Several fixes were made to how screens fit on a phone and on a narrow window.

Plans

  • There are now five plans — the free plan, Simple, Básico, Premium and Pro — each with its own users, products, created and sent documents a month and space for your files. Pro now includes 15 users. If you were already subscribed, you keep paying the price you signed up for. Your plan and support
  • Created Documents and Sent Documents are now counted per month, and both counts start again on the first of each month. Your plan and support
  • Leaving the free plan for the first time starts with a free trial, and nothing is charged until it is over. Your plan and support
  • Moving to a smaller plan now waits for your renewal: you keep the plan you paid for until the period ends, and a cancelled plan can be taken back with Resume plan until then. A payment that is declined or left halfway no longer changes the plan you are on. Your plan and support
  • Several fixes were made to plans and payments.

Add-ons

  • The business modules are now add-ons: your team turns on the ones it needs from Add-ons, instead of getting them with the plan. Each add-on has its own picture, screenshots of its screen and a link to the guide that explains it. Your plan and support
  • Almacenamiento adicional gives your team more space without changing plan, in steps that add up: buying another step adds to the ones you have instead of replacing them. Your plan and support
  • Usuario adicional and Sucursal adicional add users and branches one at a time, and Members offers Buy another user when your team is full. Your plan and support
  • Add-on prices now show their currency.
  • Several fixes were made to add-ons.

Your files

  • Every file your team uploads or receives from Control Total now counts toward its space and is kept in Media, in a folder named after what it holds, with one folder per record: Products, Invoices, Reports and Voice notes. Files already there were moved into those folders. Once your space is used up the next file is refused, and nothing is ever deleted for space. Your plan and support

Support

  • Support now says what your plan includes: tickets on every plan, priority on Premium and Pro, and live chat with the support team on Básico, Premium and Pro. Your plan and support

CFDI invoicing

  • Stamping is now safe when the provider does not answer: the document stays a Draft while it is sent, Retry stamp sends the same request again without risk of a second CFDI, and the Stamp attempts panel shows each request and what came back. Issue a CFDI invoice
  • The Receiver of an invoice is now read-only and is corrected from the client's fiscal data. Issue a CFDI invoice
  • The invoice PDF now names each of its blocks, adds a panel with the document's data and prints the SAT keys as codes.
  • Stamps are now sold in five packages, in pesos in Mexico and in dollars elsewhere. Issue a CFDI invoice
  • A sell order paid with several payment methods can now go into a global invoice for the part paid with the methods you choose, and what is left of it can be invoiced from the sell order itself. Invoices to the general public
  • Several fixes were made to CFDI invoicing.

Inventory

  • A physical inventory lets you count what you really have, save the count to finish later, and complete it so the stock matches, showing the shrinkage it found. Count your stock and correct the difference
  • Inventory Movements can now be searched by product, variant, user, where the movement came from and the line it belongs to. Every movement of your stock
  • The inventory report now shows the Final stock of each product at the close of the period, and Show all products also lists the products that did not move. Reports
  • Several fixes were made to inventory.

Sales and customers

Cashier shifts

  • With Sucursales on, each cash register belongs to a branch, and the expenses paid out of a shift are registered with their concept. Cashier shifts
  • Cash put into or taken out of a closed cash register now counts at its next opening. Cashier shifts
  • Several fixes were made to cashier shifts.

Branches

  • The number of branches now depends on your plan, and a team that needs more adds them with Sucursal adicional. Work with branches

Sharing documents

  • The links you send to a customer now open with a key of their own instead of the customer's phone. Links you already sent keep working, except those of a document without a phone, which you share again to get a working link. Send documents to your customer
  • Several fixes were made to shared documents.

Public site and help centre

  • The home page shows current screenshots of Control Total, the four most used add-ons with a link to all of them, and a Help link in its menu. The add-ons page lists only the add-ons sold in your country.
  • Each public page now has its own address in English and in Spanish, the old addresses take you to the new ones, and visitors can switch language from the menu.
  • The pages for each line of business have a new design, screenshots of the product and a Spanish version.
  • Control Total now has its own terms and conditions and privacy policy, linked at the foot of every public page.
  • The help centre logo now takes you to the home page, and the guides use the words you see on screen.
